UnadillaValley Sports Center is a premier racetrack in the northeast, home to both the AMA Pro Motocross and the AMA Pro ATV racing as well as the Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series and several other Amateur motocross events.
After taking a win in the last round, Baldwin Motorsports Honda's Josh Upperman sits only seven points behind Motoworks Can-Am's John Natalie for the points lead, the closest Upperman has been all year. However, Natalie is bouncing back from a broken arm, giving him a bit of a disadvantage heading into Unadilla this weekend.
Florida's Jeremy Lawson has been a force to reckon with all season long, often setting the fastest lap times in the race; however, the Walsh Race Craft Suzuki rider hasn't been consistent enough. Lawson is always a top contender for the overall win, especially at Unadilla this weekend.
Amateur classes will practice on Friday and race on both Saturday and Sunday. Pros will run two timed practice sessions on Saturday morning and race in the afternoon as part of a full schedule of amateur racing, including classes for Youth, Women and Veteran riders. Local riders are encouraged to take part in the amateur racing schedule and may sign up at the event.
