Baldwin Motorsports' Josh Upperman Takes Top 5 at Spring Creek MX

North Kingsville, OH (06/04/2011) - Baldwin Motorsports' Josh Upperman put in two solid motos at round seven of the AMA ATV Motocross Championships to claim yet another top five finish and remain in the top three in pro points.

Upperman at Millville
Spring Creek in Millville, MN was the hosting facility for this round and saw unseasonably warm and humid temps that took their toll on many racers and the rough track only added to the fatigue, but Baldwin Motorsports' Josh Upperman stayed consistent through both motos.

In the first moto, Upperman was in third off the start and came under fire from Chad Wienen. Upperman held on for two laps before Wienen got by. Upperman would eventually finish out his moto in fifth place. "I got a little bit tired out there because of the heat, but I tried to ride smart and I was able to stay in the top five," said Upperman.

In moto two, Upperman was in second off the start but again came under attack by Chad Wienen. Upperman would also find himself doing battle with Thomas Brown and Jeremy Lawson, which would put him back into fifth place once again as he crossed the finish line. "The track was really rough out there so I am happy to finish in the top five and keep in the top three in points. I am going to go home and do some more training and hopefully do better at the next round," stated Upperman.

Upperman's consistency this season has allowed him to enjoy a somewhat comfortable third place in points with 253 points, 12 points ahead of fourth place. "My goal is to hang in there and stay in the top three. We have been working hard all season and I think we will be able to do just that," said Upperman.

Josh Upperman will be training hard over the next few weeks and will be ready to go for round number eight, which will be heading to Sunday Creek in Millfield, OH on July 2nd - 3rd where Josh Upperman will be trying to put his Baldwin Motorsports Honda TRX 450R on the podium.
