Moto 1

Wienen found himself in fourth place out of the first turn in Moto 1. Settling into the third spot at the end of the first lap, Wienen made quick passes on teammate John Natalie sitting in second place and Rookie Joel Hetrick leading the race in frist.  Wienen took ahold of the number one position by the third lap and lead a comfortable lead until the checkers flew by.

Moto 2

Starting out of the first turn in the top 5, Wienen was able to maneuver himself once again into the top three by the end of the first lap. Passing by Josh Upperman in third place by the end of the third lap, Wienen was able to focus on catching Joel Hetrick who was leading the race.  Wienen caught Hetrick by the fifth lap and took over the number one position.  "It was a great feeling to be able to come out at my home track and go 1-1 in front of my friends and family" stated Wienen.

In the News

Between Round 4 & 5 Wienen went to a local area school to talk to kids from Elementary and High School about the importance of goal setting and the dedication it took to pursuit his dream career.

Wienen also took part in an autograph/meet and greet session in Corola, IL on Thursday evening prior to the race at Sunset Ridge.  This was a great way to reach out and invite locals to the race the following Saturday.
