In the world ATV MX there has been a lot of uncertainty as far as a pro rider is concerned.  With the economy bust and the bombshells of factory support slipping away, some riders have determined that they are not giving up that easy.  Time to go to work on and off the track and with great inspiration from family and friends, the #123 Nick Denoble is on the fast track to success.

ATVMotocross.com: Hey Nick how are things going?

Nick Denoble: Things are going great.  The first round was good, I came out seventh overall.  It was better than last year's first round where I blew a couple of motors.  I am just happy to be in the top ten right away.  I want to just stay consistent this year.  I have been training with Josh Creamer and we have been working together trying to push each other to the next level.

That has to be pretty inspiring for you to have someone like that on your team?

Oh yeah definitely.  Josh and I have always been good friends and now to see Josh have a factory ride and see the team now gone is a real let down.  And thanks to my dad for giving me and now him the opportunity to ride this year.  It is a big accomplishment to have Josh riding with us some this year and is a big goal setter for me to have him around.  Josh pushes me a lot and I try to push him but when we are the track, well he is a lot faster than me but....(Laughs)

Would you say this is the most training you have done coming into a new season?

This year has been the most I have ever trained.  I have been eating right, I am on Chad Weinen's T.O.P. program and that's been helping out a lot.  I have been training with Josh and really got my head down to the grindstone this year.  I am trying to make a statement and even though the factory support is not here, TV coverage is and I just want to make a good statement this year, maybe top 5 and go from there.

I hear that you have been busy looking into some outside the industry sponsorship, which is going to be vital in our in the future.  How is that all going?

It's been going pretty well actually.  Me and my dad have been talking to Jack Links Beef Jerky and we have been talking to Shell Penske Racing out of NASCAR.  My dad is good friends with a big supplier of Shell in Wisconsin and he has gotten us into contact with Shell Penske Lubricant.  You know the ATV racing industry has a lot of great support from with-in but having outside the industry sponsors is a big thing that we need to work toward.  Having Josh on board with us at a number of the races and me at all of them together are going to be hammering down and trying to get some new sponsors in here and hopefully picking up the series.

Did I hear right about you being featured in an upcoming video game?

Yep, it's from THQ and it's the new MX ATV Alive game which is going to be out in May.  I'll be on that along with Chad Weinen, Thomas Brown, I think Josh Creamer, Dustin Wimmer and a bunch of guys.  So make sure you are looking for it in stores in May.  You can actually ride as your favorite pro riders.

Hey that is awesome!  Can we have a tournament sometime later this year in your pits?

That would be cool.  Maybe we could have a little dash for the cash or something.

It is great to see you looking toward the future and that in bleak times you are into so much positive for yourself and the sport as a whole really.

Oh yeah, 2011 like I said does not have the support we have seen in the past but we are going to keep pushing and hopefully things will pick up in the next few years.  I am not expecting anything too big until maybe next year or the year after, but good things happen to good people.

Thanks for taking the time to talk today and good luck with everything!
