Wimmer takes on the Field at ATV MX Season Opener at Millcreek Raceway

Pell City, Alabama (March 25, 2010) - The opening round of the 2010 ITP/Moose Racing AMA ATV Motocross Championship presented by Parts Unlimited will roar into the Millcreek Raceway in Pell City, Alabama on March 26-28 along with hundreds of competitors ready to see how they've fared over the off-season. This event also features the first round of the South Challenge.

Two-time Defending Champion Dustin Wimmer is in top shape and will have his hands full with his new Rockstar Makita Suzuki teammate, Josh Creamer as well as 2009 runner up, Joe Byrd. Wimmer will also be challenged by Chad Wienen who was third overall in 2009 and has made the move to the Motoworks Can-Am team, where he's already secured a win at the Montreal Supercross. Although Wimmer holds the number one plate despite a mid-season injury, Wienen, Creamer and Byrd were all able to take wins throughout 2009 demonstrating a competitive and exciting beginning to the 2010 season.

The weekend also includes a full slate of amateur racing, including classes for riders as young as four-years-old, as well as veteran divisions for riders over the age of 50. Practice, qualifying and racing will take place on Saturday, with final amateur and Pro motos taking place on Sunday.

Millcreek Raceway has become a favorite on the tour, as the track features wide lanes, flowing natural jumps and elevation changes. Tickets on Sunday are $15 for fans ($10 for ages 6-11), and admission includes full pro pit access, and an autograph session.

To get to the track from Birmingham take I-20 East to Exit # 156; turn South and take first road on the right which is Roberts Mill Rd. Track is a short distance on the left.
